Why Users Get Banned
EXCESSIVE DELETIONS: Your refusal to play by the rules results in my refusal to let you play at all.
First: If something you posted gets deleted for site misuse, don't panic. I'm not going to assume that you're a horrible person or anything. I figure, everyone makes mistakes from time to time, you know?
Next: If something you posted gets deleted for site misuse, do learn from the experience.
There are people who fail to learn the rules until they unwittingly break them. That's OK, so long as the trial-and-error approach actually teaches them something.
And there are people out there who know the rules, but must push them to see how far they can go before they get smacked. (Cat owners will recognize the behavior I'm describing.) Look: The rules, as stated, will be enforced. Promptly. But there are some people who have to find out for themselves. And that's fine too, so long as, once they find out, they settle down.
But then there are people who consider the existence of any rules to be a personal affront, and they will break them and break them repeatedly and incessently to show their contempt for them. That's the kind of person that will get him/herself banned from this site, once his/her behavior makes her/himself known.
But don't worry. I won't know you're that kind of person if you never act like it.
