Why Content Gets Deleted
OFFENSIVE: Librarian refuses to host bigoted rants, gay-bashing sentiments, child rape fantasies, etc.
This should be pretty self-explanatory. Hatefulness doesn't belong in my library. Your Librarian is, for all intents and purposes, a bleeding-heart liberal who is very much intolerant of intolerance. Put your racist, sexist, homophobic screed on your own website. I ain't hosting it.
Now, your story can have racist, sexist, homophobic characters in it, sure. Bad guys give a plot its conflict. But I can tell the difference between a story in which a gay guy gets beat up, and a story that's really a vehicle for its author's wish that all gay guys get beat up. Can you?
And while we're at it, acts of violence and harm to others, while often useful as part of a story, are not to be glorified here. "You Are A Date Rapist" is not a story you should start on my website.
Politically, I'm fairly open to debate. You want to write a story about how George W. Bush saves the world and all the anti-war protesters learn the error of their ways? Fine. You can write from that opinion. But you want to expand that story into a hatemongering speech about the need to exterminate Islam and rape the Iraqi women? Bad doggie. Go shit elsewhere.
If you're having trouble understanding these distinctions, you're probably better off not posting here.
