Why Content Gets Deleted

INACTIVE: Story was retired due to lack of participation.

In order to keep the Library manageable, I've installed an electronic housecleaner to keep the stacks pruned and tidy. (Jetsons fans might like to call it "Rosie"; I rather like "CRON") Every day, our housekeeper will check how big each story is (in chapters) and how long it's been since the last contribution (chapter or path) was made to it. If the latter is too long in comparison to the former, that story will be marked for deletion.

Here's the details: Each story gets a guaranteed lifespan of one month. If at any time after that the story has been inactive for more than the same number of weeks as there are chapters, it gets removed from the stacks and marked as deleted. It won't be in The Hall Of Shame, of course - this is a no-fault deletion. It'll be in a different section called Retired Tales or something like that.

At this point you'll have the chance to add on to the poor, neglected story and return it to the regular library shelves. But if it remains inactive, then it, like any other deleted content, will be purged one lunar month (28 days) after the date of deletion.

Like it says in the FAQ: The purpose of this site is not the thing created but the act of creation. "Changes aren't permanent, but Change is." (You can learn a lot from a Rush lyric.)
